Komon

A type of casual kimono that is dyed with repeated pattern designs.
Usually made from silk (but there can be exceptions as well).
Note that the pattern goes through on the whole fabric and the placing is totally random.
There are bigger or smaller size of patterns but they go through over the fabric.
There are many kinds of komon styles and this is one of the biggest category of kimono types.
Patterns are usually dyed but woven type kimono can be in this casual kategori too, if the pattern placing is like this.
Komon kimono is worn with nagoya obi or hanhaba obi, depending on the kimono's style and atmosphere. Good for going out for lunch, dating, meetings, dinner, regular occasions, etc.
