KIMONO OFF first opened at Ishikawa prefecture, Kanazawa Station, near the East Exit in 2001. After some time the shop has moved to Nonoichi-city (a city very next to Kanazawa). And now after 20 years we could finally open another store in Toyama prefecture, Kurose city. Our Nonoichi-shop is the biggest, with a wide range of many kinds of kimono and other kimono accessories. 

All of our staff members are experienced in kimono, assessors are checking every product thoroughly when buying and reselling it. Our hope is to find new costumers for every kimono and give new lives to these beautiful products!

If you have a kimono or obi, accessories, etc. that you won't use again, please bring them to us to consult!

- Kimono tailoring and fixing service -

• Kimono tailoring

  From Japanese type hand-sewing to Foreign way ("kaigai tenui")! You can choose your way of tailoring, however we are recommending Foreign way ("kaigai tenui!). Hand-sewing tailoring can take time (sometimes 40days or more) but it's a very detailed work that needs skilled workers.

• Kimono fixing

  If you purchase reused or antique kimono, sometimes the size is not the best (ex. sleeve length is not matching your nagajuban - underwear kimono). If you need help, just feel free to ask about fixing it! Our staff will gladly help you.

• Attaching or changing of the collar (han'eri)

  Nowadays lot of Japanese people don't know how to attach a han'eri to a nagajuban, too. In case you don't know how to attach it, or just really want it to be done it by a professional sewer (we recommend it especially in case of embroidery han'eri for formal wear), just ask our staff for help!

  

[Cleaning Service at KIMONO OFF]

In KIMONO OFF we are offering these 2 types of cleaning.

• "Maru arai" for everyday used casual kimono and underwear kimono (nagajuban). It's an antibacterial type of cleaning, we recommend it especially for nagajuban.

• "Kyoto hand-washing type of cleaning" - for formal types of kimono.

  Also, for your important kimono we recommend a "pearl tone processing" ("paaru toonu kakou") to repel water. This treatment will protect your kimono from Japan's moisture.
